Walter Cummins has published more than 100 stories in magazines such asKansas Quarterly, Virginia Quarterly Review, Confrontation, 3rd Bed, Connecticut Review, The Laurel Review, Other Voices, Bellevue Literary Review, Green Hills Literary Lantern, Georgetown Review, Sonora Review, Abiko Quarterly, West Branch, South Carolina Review, Crosscurrents, Crescent Review, The MacGuffin, and on the Web. His previous story collections are titled Witness and Where We Live. His most recent books areThe Literary Traveler, co-written with Thomas E. Kennedy, and Programming Our Lives: Television and American Identity, co-written with George Gordon. From 1983-2002, he was editor-in-chief of The Literary Review and returned to that position in 2007. He is on the editorial board of Web Del Sol and is a core faculty member of the Fairleigh Dickinson University MFA in Creative Writing program.
